Community Coalitions

OHCO is committed to developing and supporting Community Oral Health Coalitions that focus on the unique oral health needs identified in their communities.  Each Community Oral Health Coalition will provide leadership and establish strong oral health collaborations in local communities.  Together, OHCO and the community coalitions will affect public policy, collaborate on statewide initiatives involving oral health, and educate communities on oral health issues.

In order to encourage development of new community oral health coalitions, OHCO will assist in gathering data for needs assessments, share best practices that have been developed by other coalitions, and create a network (website, emails, newsletters etc)) where community coalitions can communicate with each other as well as with OHCO and policy makers.

OHCO will continue to offer support to existing coalitions, and will connect existing coalitions to emerging coalitions in order to build capacity and effectiveness at all levels.

• Northwest Colorado Dental Coalition
• Northeast Colorado Dental Coalition
